Our Client a Global Automotive stamping and welding manufacturer is currently seeking a Tooling Manager Overall Responsibilities - Supervision of Tool room in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

- Manage day to day tooling operations.
- Initiate problem solving and conduct root cause analysis.
- Implement Process & Tooling projects driven through recent product development, product design changes and or process improvements.
- Gives direction on process types.
- Estimates costs for design and build - Defines project in regards to timing and performance costs - Generates purchase requisitions for approval.
- Supports and gives direction to toolmakers in any aspect of tool building.





Qualifications - Technical post secondary education or Tool and Die certified - Minimum of 7-10 years stamping and or tool and die experience required - 5 years of experience managing complex manufacturing projects - Experience in all areas of metal stamping including progressive, manual, and transfer dies and welding - Excellent planning, project management, and leadership skills - Strong problem solving and stamping die troubleshooting skills are required - Ability to read and interpret both product and equipment designs and drawings.

- Ability to facilitate the introduction of new processes, interface with equipment, tooling, and material suppliers - Experience with metal stamping presses and welding equipment.
- Solid Understanding with TS 16949 or similar Quality System Standards
