Looking for someone for Saturday and Sunday shift, looking for locomotive technician. Someone with railway experience. Someone who knows the basics of diesel engine. This is a contractor position. Pay is once a month and you are responsible for your taxes

Duties would include but not limited to.

- starting and shutting down locomotives main engine and hep engines
- Applying and removing of 575v wayside power
- perform locomotive and coach inspections
- repairs on coaches and locomotives
- dumping and charging of toilets
- fuelling of locomotives
- filling def tanks
- using power tools and hand tools
- troubleshooting Problems with doors,hvac’s,air brakes, anything related to the safe operation of the train
- preform daily reports
- must be able to work in a fast paced environment

qualifications
- grade 12 or equivalent
- railway experience
- experience working with power tools and hand tools




- valuable English reading and writing and speaking skills required
- must posses a valid drivers licence
- clci certified or willing to obtain after hiring
- must follow all safety rules as outlined by employer
- must be punctual, responsible, reliable

working conditions
- available to work all shifts, weekend, holidays, and occasional overtime when necessary
- work outdoors in various types of weather and environmental conditions
- frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, preform overhead work, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
- frequent walking, climbing, balancing
- working alone

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
