The Minnesota Unemployment
Insurance (UI) Program is seeking a UI Supervisor to join our team. The UI Supervisor oversees daily business operations within the UI program, ensuring high-quality service to Minnesotans and effective administration of core program functions. Candidates will be considered for a leadership role within the Customer Service Center or Employer Audit area.
Supervising staff who provide customer service, make eligibility determinations and complete employer audits in accordance with Minnesota Unemployment Insurance law. Managing workflows, operational activities, and performance to ensure customers are served promptly, accurately, and respectfully. Ensuring program goals are met through effective staff coaching, training, and performance management.
Applying labor agreements and employment policies consistently and fairly. Supporting a collaborative and mission-driven work environment focused on delivering excellent public service. This position plays a vital role in helping Minnesotans navigate unemployment benefits, comply with employer obligations, and contributes directly to the success of the UI Program's annual objectives.
Paul office. This position is telework eligible. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment. Please note,
the telework policy could change with notice based on business needs.
Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position. Four (4) years of experience in the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance program* Four (4) years of experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker, or project lead AND at least six (6) months of experience in the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance program* Experience coaching and training staff sufficient to lead the work unit.
Experience in Minnesota Unemployment Insurance laws, rules, departmental operations, practices, and procedures.
Experience in conducting quality assurance activities.
Experience creating business processes and training materials.
Experience understanding the Minnesota Unemployment Insurance Program business model.
