Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to support our distribution and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments, with skills in heavy equipment operation, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving. This role offers an prospect to work with a dynamic team, utilizing various warehouse management systems and equipment to ensure efficient operations. Prior experience with reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and warehouse computer systems is highly desirable.

The Warehouse

Assistant will play a key role in maintaining safety standards while managing inventory and supporting logistics processes.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load and unload materials
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving activities to ensure accurate fulfillment
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems
- Load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Support warehouse distribution tasks including construction-related activities when necessary
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials throughout the facility




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize storage solutions and workflow processes
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all operations

Skills

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving procedures, and order fulfillment processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and other inventory software
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience in packaging, load & unload activities, and order picking techniques
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including cranes and forklift driving skills
- Prior warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and safety compliance

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
