We are a family in Falconridge, Calgary, looking for a caring, reliable and engaging nanny to help care for our two children, ages 6 and 8. Both children attend school, and this is a live-out, part-time position, primarily involving childcare outside school hours.

We are looking for someone who can become a positive and dependable part of the children’s routine. A key part of the role is helping them maintain a strong connection with the Punjabi language and culture, so fluency in Punjabi is important.

Responsibilities include:

- Speaking and interacting with the children in Punjabi to strengthen their conversational skills.
- Sitting with and supporting them during their online Punjabi classes taught by teachers in India.
- Helping them understand and complete their Punjabi homework, including basic reading and writing.
- Playing with the children and keeping them engaged in fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Preparing fresh, healthy snacks and meals.
- Punjabi/Indian food preparation and light cooking, with an emphasis on nutritious, freshly prepared home-cooked food.




- Light tidying of the kitchen and children’s areas after meals and activities.

We are looking for someone who is warm, patient, responsible and genuinely enjoys interacting with children, rather than simply supervising them. Experience with children and the ability to assist with Punjabi reading, writing and homework would be especially valuable.

We offer $15 per hour and are happy to discuss the part time schedule and hours with the right candidate.
