Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments Operate submerged Arc welding equipment Operate brazing and soldering equipment Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)



Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision Apprentice / Journeyperson or equivalent relevant experience ~ Experience with Tig, stainless steel & aluminum is an asset Night shifts are eligible for a $4/hr premium Weekend shifts are subject to an 11% hourly wage premium Overtime may be available Shifts Available Day Shift - 4 x 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday Night Shift - 4 x 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday #
