This position is for a software developer/automation consultant to work as a member of the Insurance Information Services (IIS) Delivery/Operations team in the Toronto Financial Services business unit (Insurance Sector).
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities Working closely with the Operations team, the incumbent will:
- Review manual processes within the Delivery/Operations team and replace with automation to make our processes more efficient/effective.
- Work with various groups (operations, new product development, test automation) to define requirements for automation opportunities.
- Use strong analysis and development skills to determine appropriate tools (UI Path, Katalon, Scripting languages, VBA etc.) to deliver required automation.
- Follow the SDLC cycle and CGI processes to ensure development, quality and delivery standards are met.
- Provide stakeholders transparency on automation tasks and status.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Document processes under review for automation.
- Prepare and review requirements documentation for proposed automation.
- Implement POCs (proof of concept) and solutions based on automation requirements.
- Deliver solutions using the agile methodology.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in one or many programming/scripting languages (Java/JavaScript/Groovy/ C#, VB script)
- Hands on SQL experience with relational databases
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science/IT or related IT discipline or equivalent experience
- Ability to quickly understand the insurance industry and our related products.
- Should have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Nice to have:
- Strong working experience in test automation tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cucumber BDD, Postman/SOAP UI for API testing
- Experience in RPA Automation/UI Path
- Operating Systems : Linux, Windows
