The Youth Care
Worker will provide crucial support for at-risk youth in a residential care setting. This role requires a commitment to trauma-informed practices and cultural competency, delivering services aligned with Eagle Heart Centre's mission. You will utilize strong communication skills while facilitating group programming and providing crisis intervention to foster emotional and psychological well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual and group programming for youth
- Promote personal growth and independence through life skills training
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Implement trauma-informed, culturally safe practices
- Collaborate effectively within a residential team setting Requirements:
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Experience with youth facing mental health challenges
- Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
