The Youth Care

Worker supports vulnerable and at-risk youth living in a care home workplace through individual and group programming, life skills training, and crisis intervention. Using a harm reduction model, the Youth Care Worker promotes independence, safety, and personal growth. Reporting directly to the Team Lead with overarching accountability to the Executive Director, this role delivers culturally safe, trauma-informed, and youth-centered services that align with Eagle Heart Centre's mission, vision, and universal competencies.

Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.





Experience working with youth, including those with physical or developmental disabilities, brain differences, or mental health challenges. culturally competent practice and understanding of Indigenous community needs. Knowledge of child development, mental health, addictions, domestic violence, and systemic challenges facing youth.

Clear Criminal Record

Check, including Vulnerable Sector clearance.

Valid
