Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support the quality assurance, system testing, integration testing, accessibility validation, and release verification activities for complex healthcare technology initiatives.

The successful consultant will lead testing efforts across multiple workstreams, ensuring that enterprise systems, integrations, reporting solutions, APIs, and health-related applications meet functional, non-functional, accessibility, performance, and security requirements. This role requires deep expertise in healthcare system testing, test automation, defect management, API testing, test strategy development, and collaboration within both Agile and traditional project delivery environments.

Scope

Develop comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing schedules.

Coordinate and oversee testing activities across multiple streams while providing guidance to junior QA resources.

Perform functional, integration, regression, accessibility, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.

Conduct testing of APIs, web services, reporting platforms, integrations, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.

Assignment Deliverables

Comprehensive testing strategies and test plans.

Detailed test cases, test scripts, test datasets, and execution schedules.

Automated test scripts and testing frameworks.

Functional,



integration, regression, system, security, and performance testing results.

API and web service testing documentation.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

7+ years of experience as a Systems Testing/QA Specialist leading testing activities for enterprise applications.

Experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing testing efforts across multiple workstreams.

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies in object-oriented environments.

Experience with all phases of system testing, including test strategy, test planning, test execution, defect management, and reporting.

Hands-on experience developing and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium or comparable frameworks.

Experience testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, custom web applications, APIs, integrations, and reporting solutions.

Experience working with HL7-FHIR web services, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and interface testing.

Nice to Have:

Experience supporting large-scale data migration and conversion testing initiatives.

Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and modern CI/CD practices.

Security Clearance

Required.
