Job Description:

Our client, a well-established and growing organization with multiple operating locations, is seeking an Accounting Manager to support its finance function. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, forecasting, cost management, and providing business insights to support operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Consolidate financial information from multiple business units and analyze overall organizational performance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining strong internal controls and reporting standards.
- Oversee cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Analyze operational spending trends and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
- Partner with operational leaders to monitor key performance indicators, manage costs, and support profitability initiatives.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities.
- Develop financial analyses, variance reports, and models to support strategic planning and business decisions.




- Provide oversight and guidance related to day-to-day accounting operations, including payables and receivables functions.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance financial controls, reporting efficiency, and overall business performance.

Requirements:

- Skilled accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) with a solid foundation in financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Experience auditing or supporting finance functions within an operational environment, including exposure to costing, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis activities within a complex or multi-location organization.
- Prior experience in public accounting, audit, or assurance services is considered an asset.
- Strong technical aptitude, including advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
