Jaswant Singh Khalra Khalsa School is seeking an energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Sports / Physical Education Teacher to join our school team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education and sports activities that promote fitness, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy habits among students.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct age-appropriate physical education classes.
- Teach students the fundamentals of different sports and physical activities.
- Organize indoor and outdoor games, sports activities, and fitness exercises.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, confidence, and good sportsmanship.
- Ensure student safety during all physical activities.
- Maintain and organize sports equipment and supplies.
- Monitor student participation, progress, and skill development.
- Support school sports days, tournaments, competitions, and other events.
- Adapt activities to accommodate students with different abilities and skill levels.
- Maintain positive classroom and behaviour management.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administration, and other school staff.

Qualifications





- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience teaching physical education, sports, or coaching children is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sports, fitness, and physical education activities.
- Excellent communication and student-management skills.
- Energetic, patient, responsible, and able to motivate students.
- First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is an asset where applicable.
