We are currently seeking up to three Red Seal Painters to join one of our industrial manufacturing clients. This role is ideal for an experienced painter with a strong background in industrial coating application and surface preparation, particularly within environments such as bridge construction and maintenance, oil and gas facilities, heavy industrial plants, or other industrial maintenance settings. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of protective coating systems, quality workmanship, and safe work practices to challenging industrial environments. Responsibilities

- Perform surface preparation and application of industrial protective coatings using spray equipment, brushes, rollers, and other application tools on vessels, barges, structural steel, and industrial equipment.
- Set up and maintain work areas, tools, materials, and equipment, while safely operating forklifts, lifts, scaffolding, and various power tools to access challenging work areas.
- Follow coating specifications, work instructions, and safety procedures while maintaining high-quality workmanship and production schedules, including work at heights and in confined or enclosed spaces.

Qualifications

- Red Seal Painter Decorator certification with demonstrated experience applying industrial, protective, or specialty coatings; experience in bridge work, oil and gas, plant maintenance,



marine, or heavy industrial environments is highly relevant.
- Strong understanding of industrial surface preparation and coating application, with the ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding or awkward positions.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, judgment, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow technical instructions, communicate effectively in English, and work collaboratively in a safety-focused industrial setting.

Pay: Up to $56.69 an hour – must be part of the union

On-site 5 days per week in Victoria, BC
