Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move and stack materials in a warehouse setting
- Safely load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and locate materials
- Pick orders accurately and efficiently using an order picker or clamp truck
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials in the warehouse
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center
- Ability to operate different types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Solid mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the forklift
- Basic math skills to accurately track inventory and complete paperwork
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to [insert weight limit] pounds, on a regular basis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
