Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Part-time and Casual Medical Foot Care Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized foot care services to diverse patient populations, ensuring comfort, safety, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support individuals across various settings, including clinics, assisted living facilities, home care environments, and hospitals. Duties

- Perform thorough assessments of patients’ foot health, including skin, nails, circulation, and mobility status
- Deliver specialized foot care treatments such as trimming nails, callus and corn removal, ingrown nail management, high risk footcare
- Assist with patient education on foot hygiene, injury prevention, and proper footwear choices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex needs such as diabetes or dementia
- Document all procedures accurately using electronic health records systems
- Support patients in various settings including nursing homes, hospitals, home visits, and assisted living facilities





Qualifications

- Valid nursing license with current registration in Alberta.
- Advanced Footcare Training on nursing license
- Prior experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or acute care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, senior care, hospice care, pediatrics, and home care practices
- Proficiency in medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Experience with phlebotomy and laboratory procedures is advantageous
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassionate communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in casual or part-time schedules while maintaining high standards of care. Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14.0 – 28.0 per week
