Hero Sandwiches is looking for a reliable Kitchen Prep Cook to join our small team! In this customer-facing role you will be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring that every sandwich is prepared with speed, consistency, and care.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assemble sandwiches efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in every menu item
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper sanitation, storage, and handling procedures
- Assist in basic cooking tasks such as baking, grilling, or assembling components as directed by the kitchen supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout your shift
- Support the team during busy periods by quickly restocking supplies and organizing ingredients
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe dining experience

Skills

- Experience in food preparation,



cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards to prevent contamination and ensure quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure
- Strong understanding of food prep techniques and serving protocols
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Prior experience with sandwich assembly or similar food prep tasks is a plus
- Passion for delivering exceptional food service experiences
- Possess your FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or willingness to)

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
