ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity will provide you with the chance to work on innovative energy projects that have recently been midstream projects. You will assist in up-front research and the creation of economic and business cases, all while working under minimal supervision. This role is for someone who possesses great energy and proven experience, and who is interested in becoming part of our ongoing story of growth.
As a Business Analyst, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conduct research and analysis related to energy, infrastructure, environmental, land, Indigenous engagement, and development projects.
- Prepare technical and non-technical reports, feasibility studies, economic assessments, strategic evaluations, presentations, and client deliverables
- Analyze operational, technical, financial, regulatory, and project-related data to support reporting and decision-making.
- Translate complex technical and operational information into clear, concise, and actionable reporting materials for clients and stakeholders.
- Support Indigenous participation, procurement, consultation, and socio-economic analysis activities associated with projects and initiatives.
- Assist with proposal preparation, project documentation, presentation materials, and supporting analytical content.
- Assist with workflow analysis, process improvement initiatives, and development of operational and reporting efficiencies.
- Support to team on PowerBI for data visualization and reporting, including creating dashboards, writing DAX queries, and connecting to various data sources.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and team safety by closely following company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist with other responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team.
We are looking for the following skills and qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in related discipline
- 2 - 5 years of experience in a related field
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze information/data and highlight key insights to support recommendations and decisions.
- Experience with data analysis, automation tools, databases, python or analytical workflows is considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting/visualization platforms such as Microsoft Power BI
- Experience in business writing and reporting
