Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Electrical Production Assembler – Day Shift to join our growing Production Team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components and control panels, ensuring each order meets our quality standards and production timelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bench electrical assembly within the production plant.
- Assemble power supply boxes and electrical control panels according to drawings, samples, and work orders.
- Use hand tools, air tools, and electric tools to drill, wire, and assemble electrical components and panel boxes.
- Wire control boxes for electrical power supplies and sauna control panel assemblies (120V & 240V, single and 3-phase).
- Conduct shop testing on products using established procedures and testing equipment.
- Follow process instructions and accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues; escalate to team lead when needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized workspace in compliance with company safety and housekeeping standards.
- Proactively identify and correct safety hazards; promote safety culture throughout the organization.
- Monitor inventory levels and report when supplies are needed.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to team goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of electrical wiring or assembly experience (preferred).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and prior manufacturing experience are assets.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inventory labels.
- Knowledge of standard wire connectors, single and 3-phase electrical components, and 120V/240V systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, air tools, and electrical assembly tools.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Familiarity with the Ontario Health and Safety Act and commitment to following safety procedures.
- Physically able to stand and work on your feet for most of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to meet production deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
