Hardscaper/Labourer- Landscape construction

Seasonal | $23+ hour (depending on experience) | Start immediately

Location: St. John’s & Metro Area (some provincial travel required)

Rock Island Stonework Designs Inc. is a young, growing Newfoundland-based company specializing in hardscape construction. Since starting in 2021, we’ve built a reputation for quality workmanship, organized job sites, and strong client relationships. As we head into the end of the 2026 season, we’re looking to add a couple Hardscapers and labourers to our team to help deliver high-quality projects in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Working alongside the crew on hardscape construction projects
- Building retaining walls
- Installing interlocking pavers, flagstone, and stone steps
- Completing small concrete jobs (forming and finishing)
- Some woodwork, including decks and fences
- Operating equipment such as mini excavators, dump trailers, tampers, and power tools
- Bringing your experience to help guide projects and maintain quality standards
- Helping keep job sites safe, organized, and professional

What We’re Looking For

- Labour experience
- Experience in hardscape construction




- Strong work ethic and pride in quality workmanship
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to help problem-solve and keep projects moving efficiently
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Equipment operation, concrete work, or carpentry experience is an asset
