Lantec Fabricating Ltd has been a leader in the manufacturing and installation of structural and architectural steel in the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver area since 2004. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling steel components for a variety of industrial and construction projects. Your skills will help ensure the production of accurate and high-quality steel structures that meet company standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately fabricate steel components.
- Perform FCAW and GMAW welding processes to join metal parts.
- Use plasma cutters, torches, press brake, hand tools, power tools, saws to cut and shape steel parts.
- Perform rigging operations to lift and position steel pieces safely using cranes or forklifts.
- Measure materials with measuring tapes and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy according to specifications.




- Assist in the layout and assembly of structural and architectural steel components.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols..
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Experience:

- Proven experience in steel fabrication, welding FCAW/GMAW, 3 years minimum.
- Strong knowledge of tools, machinery, and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift operation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with plasma cutting, torch cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work safely in a quick-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proof of FCAW CWB flat is an asset.

Pay: $26.00-$43.00 per hour
