Overview:

ATCO Frontec Ltd. is seeking a Journeyperson HVAC Technician to join our team Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. The Journeyperson HVAC Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation and dismantling of systems. Work may also include projects within the trade to install, maintain, repair and overhaul central air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems and combined heating, ventilation and cooling systems.

The hourly wage for this role is $49.00 CAD.

This position operates on a 14/14 rotation schedule, working 10 hour days. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.

Responsibilities:

- Completes timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects/deficiencies.
- Performs scheduled maintenance service on HVAC and Refrigeration systems and fixtures
- Provides input into the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
- Assists with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
- Ensures all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met
- Ensures all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Journeyman Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal)
- Class B ticket Gas Fitter ticket
- Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform
- Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required




- Robust verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent ability to read drawings and schematics
- Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
- Willing and able to travel
- Highly experienced with customer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effectively solve problems
