Position Summary
The AI Automation Engineer is a member of Future Electronics' AI Automation team and will work alongside other AI Automation Engineers to identify, design, develop, and deploy solutions that eliminate manual work and improve business efficiency across the organization.
This role partners directly with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Sales Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and other corporate functions to understand business challenges, identify automation opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions that generate measurable business value.
The successful candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with both technical and non-technical teams, and can transform complex business problems into practical, high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Automation
- Identify high-volume, repetitive, and time-consuming business processes that can be automated.
- Analyze current workflows and recommend process improvements before automation is implemented.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions.
- Improve operational efficiency by reducing manual effort, errors, and processing time.
- Work directly with business users to understand requirements and define success criteria.
AI Solution Development
- Design and implement AI-powered applications that solve real business problems.
- Develop intelligent agents, internal assistants, chatbots, copilots, and knowledge management solutions.
- Create solutions leveraging generative AI, large language models (LLMs), document intelligence, and natural language processing technologies.
- Develop intelligent document processing solutions for invoices, contracts, purchase orders, compliance documents, customer communications, and other business records.
- Evaluate, test, and optimize AI solutions for accuracy, effectiveness, and business impact.
Systems Integration
- Integrate ERP, CRM, HRIS, supply chain, procurement, ticketing,
and internal systems through APIs and modern integration technologies.
- Design and maintain scalable workflows that facilitate seamless data exchange across global business platforms.
- Build reliable data pipelines to support automation and AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and enterprise architecture teams to ensure solutions align with company standards.
Team Collaboration & Innovation
- Collaborate with fellow AI Automation Engineers on enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews, knowledge sharing, and development of best practices.
- Contribute reusable components, automation frameworks, and standards that benefit the entire organization.
- Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications.
- Partner with IT, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and business teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Measurement & Business Value
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics for automation initiatives.
- Measure productivity improvements, cost reductions, quality improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare reports and presentations demonstrating the value delivered by AI automation projects.
- Support the prioritization and development of the company's automation roadmap.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Ensure all solutions comply with company security, privacy, compliance, and data governance requirements.
- Apply responsible AI principles and industry best practices.
- Support audit requirements, risk assessments, and change management processes.
- Protect sensitive business data and ensure appropriate access controls are maintained.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing automation, software, AI, data, or systems integration solutions.
- Proven success automating business processes and delivering measurable operational improvements.
- Experience developing and deploying applications using modern programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
- Strong understanding of APIs, web services, and system integration methodologies.
- Experience working with automation platforms, workflow tools, or low-code solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Services, OpenAI technologies, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps, or similar technologies.
- Experience integrating enterprise business systems including ERP, CRM, HRIS, procurement, warehouse management, or supply chain platforms.
- Experience with generative AI, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, intelligent agents, and enterprise AI architectures.
- Knowledge of SQL, databases, cloud platforms, and modern application development practices.
- Experience supporting global business operations or international organizations.
- Experience in the electronics, technology, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain industries.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
