KLC is a premium residential builder and renovation company based in Lakefield, Ontario. We have been building exceptional experiences with homeowners for more than 35 years
Our promise is straightforward: A place you’ll love.
Position Summary
The Project Manager (we call it Project Developer) is responsible for leading prospective clients through KLC's Project Development Process, transforming ideas into well-defined, buildable projects while delivering an exceptional client experience.
The role combines client relationship management, project planning, estimating, consultant coordination, proposal development, and project definition. Depending on the project, the Project Developer may prepare estimates directly, coordinate pricing from trades and suppliers, or work collaboratively with dedicated estimating resources to develop accurate, coordinated project pricing. The Project Developer serves as the client's primary point of contact throughout the Project Development Process and is accountable for ensuring projects progress through each stage in a logical, coordinated, and construction-ready manner.
The Project Developer owns the overall Project Development Process while integrating the specialist functions required to successfully develop a project. Design owns design. The Selections function owns selections. The Project Developer is responsible for ensuring these functions are engaged at the appropriate time, required deliverables are completed, project risks are identified and managed, and established stage-gate requirements are achieved before the project progresses.
Following project handover, the Project Developer remains engaged as appropriate to support the client relationship, assist with contractual or scope-related matters, provide project continuity, and help ensure a seamless client experience throughout the construction phase.
The Project Developer must balance client expectations, business objectives, constructability, risk management, and operational readiness while maintaining alignment with KLC's values and standards.
