Protoworks Manufacturing Inc., a subsidiary of Novitech LLC, is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team in our Vaughan, Ontario location. Novitech LLC is an industry-leading in-line inspection service and technology development company. As part of our continued growth, this role will play an significant part in supporting our manufacturing operations and delivering high-quality, precision-machined components.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality, precision-machined components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and established production requirements. The role performs machine setups, inspections, tooling adjustments, and post-processing operations while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set-up tooling and fixtures for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and approved part programs
- Perform first-off and in-process inspections to verify that components meet specified dimensional tolerances and quality requirements
- Make minor tool offsets and machine adjustments to compensate for tool wear and maintain part quality
- Use applicable measuring instruments such as, but not limited to calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges
- Cut and prepare raw materials in accordance with production requirements
- Perform post-processing operations, including manual machining, finishing, and part deburring
- Identify and communicate machining, tooling, or quality issues that may affect production or part conformity
- Maintain a clean,



organized and safe work area in accordance with company procedures and workplace safety requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC machines and related equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes, tooling, setup efficiency, and product quality
- Perform other related duties as required

Required Qualifications

- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in CNC Setup and Machining Operations
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a CNC manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;)
- Proficiency using precision measurement and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges
- Experience with conventional metal-cutting machines is considered an asset
- Ability to understand and work with CNC part programs and make appropriate machine/tooling adjustments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and production deadlines while minimizing interruptions to production flow
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment while consistently meeting quality and delivery requirements

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
