About the Opportunity

Our client is a healthcare organization providing specialty pharmacy and infusion-related services. They are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join their pharmacy production team in Calgary.

The Cleanroom Technician will work under the supervision of the Cleanroom Supervisor and direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacists. This position is responsible for the accurate and aseptic preparation of sterile drug admixtures, while also supporting various pharmacy production, quality control, order processing, and cleanroom activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy technician with solid attention to detail who is comfortable working in a regulated environment and following strict procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

*
Prepare sterile prescriptions and drug admixtures in accordance with established procedures and technical specifications.

*
Perform aseptic manipulations and maintain appropriate cleanroom practices.

*
Support prescription processing, order entry, label verification, production staging, and final packaging.

*
Conduct required checks of syringes, labels, products, and finished orders.

*
Assist with inventory management and ensure production supplies are appropriately maintained and staged.

*
Complete cleanroom cleaning, sanitation, and decontamination activities in accordance with established protocols.

*
Follow all applicable pharmacy, health and safety, quality, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.

*
Maintain accurate documentation and records associated with production and quality processes.

*




Identify and escalate quality concerns, discrepancies, or other issues requiring attention.

*
Prioritize workload effectively and respond appropriately to changing production demands.

*
Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other internal teams to maintain an efficient workflow.

*
Communicate professionally with patients or other external contacts when required.

*
Maintain all required training and certifications.

*
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

*
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

*
High school diploma or equivalent.

*
Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited Canadian pharmacy technician program.

*
Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.

*
Must maintain the appropriate registration/licensure required to practice as a regulated pharmacy technician in Alberta.

*
Previous sterile compounding or IV preparation experience is considered an asset.

*
Experience working in a cleanroom or other highly regulated healthcare environment is an asset.
