The Receiver Non-Ferrous will be responsible for the general maintenance of the non-ferrous warehouse among other duties. The ideal candidate has experience in metal recycling, is organized, and excels customer service.

Job Requirements

Environmental and Health & Safety (H&S;)

- Strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Provides a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors.

Operational Performance & Best Business Practices

- Receive, sort, and organize different types of non-ferrous metals.
- Classify the non-ferrous and establish the type of material.
- Properly weigh and track the material.
- Do general maintenance of the premises.
- Ensure the equipment is in good condition.
- Data entry into the in-house receiving software.
- Perform daily inspections on equipment using the maintenance software.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Preparing shipments and receiving equipment using forklift as required.
- Work with a safety-oriented mindset.

Equipment and Maintenance





- Perform daily maintenance on forklift and shears, if in use.
- Report all defects and damages to equipment to the appropriate supervisor.

Interpersonal Contacts

- Direct contact with customers, teammates, Operations Manager, Dispatcher, Office, and Drivers.

Job Conditions
Ability to: stand and walk frequently on uneven ground and throughout the yard; lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently; push and pull occasionally when moving materials; crouch or bend at the knees consistently to move or access materials or equipment; stoop or bend at the waist consistently to move materials; reach at arms length and overhead frequently; twist and turn at the neck and trunk continually; climb occasionally when obtaining items; manual dexterity required to handle, grasp, and manipulate controls and equipment constantly; arm-hand steadiness required constantly for precision work; communicate by speech and hearing continually. Mental dexterity needed as the worker will work independently while demonstrating attention to detail and continuous awareness.

Qualifications

- Experience in metal recycling preferred.
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Customer service experience in a retail preferred.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Excellent attendance and safety record.
