Essence Therapy is a growing multidisciplinary health clinic located in South West Calgary on Macleod Trail SW, proudly CPTA-approved as a physiotherapy practice setting as of September 2026.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Physiotherapist to join our team as an independent contractor.

Requirements:

- Current registration in good standing with the CPTA
- Minimum $5,000,000 professional liability insurance
- Experience with MVA/DTPR billing is an asset
- Experience with concussion & vestibular rehab, pelvic floor, TMJ, or manual therapy is an asset

Other Duties

- Assess patients’ physical conditions through comprehensive evaluations, including medical history and functional assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals
- Provide hands-on physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities




- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and health maintenance strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient experiences
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment sessions in compliance with regulatory standards

Skills

- Proven experience working in hospital settings with exposure to acute care environments
- Strong background in pediatric physiotherapy and managing pediatric patient needs
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced clinical situations
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices
