About the Role

We are building an AI-powered creative writing platform and manuscript workspace built for fiction authors and indie writers. We help storytellers build worlds, flesh out characters, and write faster. We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking Part-Time Social Media Manager to own our short-form video presence and drive user growth.

This is a 100% remote, part-time position with flexible schedule and room to grow into additional responsibilities as we scale.

Role Overview

You will focus on creating viral, user-generated-style content (UGC) across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Your goal isn't just vanity metrics or view counts—you will design content systems optimized for direct account sign-ups and paid conversions within the fiction writing community.

We embrace modern tools: AI workflow automation and generative AI tools are fully encouraged to help you brainstorm, scale video production, and experiment rapidly.

Key Responsibilities

- Viral Video Creation: Script, produce, and edit high-performing short-form reels and videos tailored to book lovers, fiction authors, and self-publishing communities (BookTok, WriteTok, Authortok).
- AI-Assisted Workflow: Leverage AI image, video, and audio generation tools to accelerate content creation and scale unique visual concepts.
- Conversion-Driven Campaigns: Design clear calls-to-action (CTAs) and creative funnels aimed directly at converting viewers into registered platform users.
- Community Engagement: Monitor author spaces, spot trending audio and visual tropes early, and adapt them to market our workspace features.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze weekly reach, hook retention,



click-through rates, and sign-up conversions to continuously iterate on content strategies.

What We Are Looking For

- Social & Visual Intuition: Solid grasp of what makes short-form video content go viral (hooks, pacing, trending audio, and visual storytelling).
- Niche Knowledge: Genuine understanding of or active interest in the fiction writing, indie author, or self-publishing space.
- AI-Friendly Mindset: Familiarity with or eagerness to learn modern AI tools to streamline content generation, editing, and workflow automation.
- Growth Mindset: Strong understanding of conversion marketing—knowing how to turn casual viewers into active users.
- Experience level is flexible; enthusiasm for short-form video, sharp execution, and familiarity with author communities matter most.

Compensation & Growth

We are flexible and open on pay structures depending on what you bring to the table. Whether you prefer an hourly rate, a fixed monthly retainer, or a performance-incentivized model with bonuses tied to sign-ups, we are happy to customize compensation based on your proven track record and what you demonstrate you can achieve.

Pay: $18.15-$35.80 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
