Job Summary
Westvent is looking for a reliable General Labourer to support the manufacturing of architectural louvers and HVAC dampers. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of louvers and dampers
- Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products
- Perform basic assembly tasks using hand and power tools
- Help operate shop equipment under supervision
- Deburr, clean, and prepare metal parts for assembly or finishing
- Support packaging, crating, and preparation of orders for shipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and protected
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Assist other departments as needed to meet production deadlines
Qualifications & Requirements
- No prior manufacturing experience required (training provided)
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Assets (Not Required)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment
- Basic knowledge of metal or mechanical assembly
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing shop setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials
- Use of safety equipment including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection

Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
