We are looking for servers to join our Champs team to be an integral part of the Food and Beverage service of our guests. Servers are responsible for fast, friendly and accurate service of food and beverages for all guests of Champs. While working in a fast paced environment on the floor of the restaurant and bowling center, many different types of skills are required to be successful.

Servers will be working in one of three locations at the facility. There is the main sports bar lounge, the bowling center and the upstairs billiard lounge. Servers will not only be limited to the floor and will contribute in all areas of the facility based on management discretion.

Servers at Champs must meet the following qualifications:

- SmartServe certification.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Have prior experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong mathematical and logical understanding.
- Good social and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Good leadership qualities.
- Clean and maintained look.
- Have knowledge of food and drink recipes.
- Have minor knowledge of professional sports.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate server/bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in the hospitality industry, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.

Responsibilities

Set up their assigned section to make sure it’s in a clean, fully functional and attractive place to dine.

· Serve guests in a positive and friendly manner.

· Responsible for greeting new guests in a timely fashion with a positive attitude once seated.

· Inform guests of new menu items, drink specials and any information that might promote business.





· Responsible to have a high level of product knowledge to ensure smooth service and upsell.

· Take drink and food orders when the guests is deemed ready.

· Check identification of guests to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

· Determine when a guest is intoxicated and handle the guest in an appropriate manner.

· Use the POS system to punch in orders immediately after taking the orders from the guest.

· Communicate with kitchen staff, bartenders and management with any special requests or modifications to any menu items or service aspects.

· Ensure that all items purchased are delivered to the table in a reasonable amount of time according to management’s guidelines.

· Maintain good table maintenance to ensure quality guest experience.

· Communicate with guests to make sure the quality of experience is maintained at high level throughout service steps. Notify a manager if expectations are not met.

· Help other servers with table maintenance and service steps when needed.

· Contribute to running food from kitchen when available to do so.

· Clear all used plates, glassware and cutlery in a timely fashion.

· Ensure all guest checks are accurate. If not, follow protocol set out by management to adjust check.

· Collect payment and maintain proper cash flow.

· Responsible for all credit, cash and debit transactions that will be tallied at the end of each shift.

· Clean vacated tables and reset for the next set of guests.

· Develop and maintain adequate working relationships with all other employees.

· Maintain a clean, attractive and positive appearance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
