General Labourer / Yard Associate (Short-Term Opportunity)

Protrans Personnel Services is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for multiple General Labourers / Yard Associates. This is a great prospect for individuals who enjoy physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team-oriented environment.
This is a short-term assignment (4 to 6 weeks) with the potential for an extension or transition to a permanent full-time position based on individual performance and business needs.
Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Hours may vary based on operational needs

Compensation

- $17.00 per hour
- Paid weekly via direct deposit

Key Responsibilities

- Flat stacking drywall and other building materials in the yard (240 – 300 lbs between 2 workers)
- Loading customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently
- Assisting with yard organization, housekeeping, and inventory movement
- Supporting receiving and shipping activities as required
- Participating in occasional drywall and building material deliveries with drivers
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Following all company safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

- Previous experience in general labour, warehouse, yard operations, construction, or a similar environment is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Comfortable lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy materials
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong attention to safety practices
- Clean criminal background check required

Required PPE
Candidates must provide their own:

- CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots




- Work gloves
- Safety glasses
- Hard hat
- Safety Vest
