Your Opportunity:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) within the Opioid Dependency Program, you will provide safe, quality, patient‑ and family‑centred nursing care to individuals accessing addiction and recovery services. Using the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment, the RN supports assessment, medication oversight, monitoring, and client education while ensuring patient safety and well‑being. The RN works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated, recovery‑oriented care, including harm‑reduction and trauma‑informed practices. This role supports case management and continuity of care through collaboration with Addiction and Mental Health programs, other Recovery Alberta services, and provincial virtual services. Practice reflects the shared vision, values, and clinical standards of Recovery Alberta. The RN is supervised by the Assistant Head Nurse and reports to the Program Manager.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe,



quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 - $55.79 per hour. Upon being entered into the register as a Registered Nurse, the rate of pay will be adjusted in accordance with the UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training (NVCI) certification preferred. Class 5 Driver’s License. At least 1 year nursing experience in an Opiate Dependency Treatment program, Supervised Consumption Site, or other relevant Addiction and Mental Health setting within the last 5 years is preferred. Strong ability to create and manage complex care plans is preferred. Connect Care. Up-to-date BLS.
