Blackline Marine Inc. is a marine repair and service company in Sidney BC. We have been in operation for 45 years in the Sidney area. We are a multi service company providing metalwork, composite repairs, paint refinishing and rigging services. We are hiring for a permanent full time position in our metal fabrication department, located at Canoe Cove Marina in Sidney BC.

The fabrication shop has a focus of working with stainless steel, building custom one off parts to a high standard. Aluminum, carbon steel, and repair skills are also appreciated.

You will be joining our industry leading team, so a solid work ethic and reliability are simply a must. Blackline Marine provides a dynamic work environment, as well as challenging projects. Boating experience is definitely a bonus, but not essential.

Required skills:

- Receive verbal and written instruction from supervisor
- Layout for tube bending
- Layout for plate and structural parts
- Fabrication of parts in stainless steel or aluminum
- TIG welding assemblies
- Sanding and polishing of parts to a high standard
- Operation of all manner of power tools
- Able to work on scaffold or at heights.
- Must be able to work as part of a team or individually
- Adhere to workplace safety policies and guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

- Metal fabrication: 2 years (required)
- TIG welding: 3 years (required)
