PROSTAFF Employment Solutions is currently hiring Part-Time Student Supervision Monitors to support students and school staff in Amherstburg area schools within the Greater Essex County District School Board.

This is a meaningful part-time opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to help create a safe, positive, and welcoming school environment.

Student Supervision Monitors are responsible for supervising students during nutrition breaks, lunch periods, and recess while providing guidance and support throughout the school day.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities may include:

- Supervise students during classroom nutrition breaks, lunch periods, and recess, both indoors and outdoors.
- Help ensure students remain safe and appropriately supervised throughout your assigned shift.
- Provide additional support to younger students, particularly Kindergarten students, with eating, organizing personal belongings, and transitioning between indoor and outdoor activities.
- Monitor hallways and help ensure students follow established school safety procedures.
- Monitor and reinforce washroom sign-out procedures.
- Encourage positive, respectful behaviour and help students make appropriate choices.
- Provide calm, consistent guidance when addressing minor behavioural concerns.
- Follow school allergy and food safety policies, including no food sharing.
- Report safety concerns, incidents, or student issues to appropriate school staff.
- Help maintain a clean and organized student environment; light tidying may be required.
- Follow all school board policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Remain attentive and present for the entire shift. Students must never be left unsupervised.
