Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technicians to join our team. This Job is Based in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Camp and travel is provided.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy machinery. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various tools. The Equipment Technician plays a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety , throughout our fleet, supporting equipment such as excavators, dozers, haul trucks, skid steers, Loaders etc.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair or replace faulty components utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools.
- Conduct assembly and disassembly of machinery for repairs or upgrades.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical failures to minimize downtime.




- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical assistance when needed.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with equipment maintenance. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
- Prior experience in assembly or mechanic roles is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to support internal teams or external clients as needed. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65.00-$80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 84 per week
