What You'll Do:

- Welcome guests to the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanour, providing an excellent first impression.
- Manage the guest seating efficiently, considering table availability, server rotations, and guest preferences.
- Answer incoming calls and inquiries, provide information about the restaurant, and assist with reservations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area, including tidying menus, ensuring proper lighting, and managing coat check if applicable.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff,



and management to coordinate seating and ensure smooth transitions between guests.
- Monitor and manage wait times, offering alternatives or complimentary services as appropriate during peak periods.
- Anticipate and address guest needs and concerns promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
- Assist with special events, promotions, and other duties as assigned by management to support overall restaurant operations.

What You'll Need:

- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service roles is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills is an asset.
- Legal eligibility to work in Ontario, Canada.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
