At Parsons Dermatology and Cosmetics we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
The Clinical Assistant will see the patient and enter the medical records before the Dermatologists enters the examination room. The objective is to ensure that each patient’s history, preliminary documentation, relevant results, draft assessment and plan are organized so the physician can focus directly on practicing medicine.
Responsibilities
- Support healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment and arrange necessary supplies
- Collect patient information, including medical history, accurately documenting details in electronic health records (Telus PS Suites)
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection and processing as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas
- Set-up patient biopsy and surgical trays for physician
- Maintain clear communication with patients, answering questions and providing instructions for post-visit care
- Manage clinical supplies inventory, restocking as needed to ensure seamless clinic operations
Skills
- Must have strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical workplace is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and compassionate communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately assist healthcare providers
- Ability to follow detailed instructions for medication administration safely and effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for documentation and record keeping
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining professionalism and empathy

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.5 – 40.0 per week
