**Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic** **Job Description**
This role focuses on performing mechanical maintenance, modification, and repair on water bomber aircraft.

You will carry out scheduled inspections, fuel system checks, and heavy mechanical overhaul work, ensuring aircraft are safe, reliable, and ready for operational use.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform mechanical maintenance, modification, and repair on water bomber aircraft in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
+ Carry out B checks, fuel checks, and other scheduled inspections to ensure optimal aircraft performance and safety.
+ Conduct heavy mechanical overhaul work on aircraft systems and structures, including complex modifications.
+ Install and fit aircraft components and systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
+ Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to complete tasks accurately.
+ Use hand tools and other equipment safely and effectively while performing mechanical tasks.
+ Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians on the hangar floor to complete work efficiently and meet project timelines.
+ Document maintenance, modifications, and repairs in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
+ Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines while working on aircraft.
+ Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes by providing feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality.

**Essential Skills**

+ 5–10 years of mechanical heavy modification experience on aircraft.
+ Hands-on experience performing mechanical maintenance, modification, and repair on aircraft, ideally water bomber platforms.
+ Ability to perform B checks, fuel checks, and mechanical overhaul work on aircraft systems.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and related equipment in an aviation maintenance environment.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical systems and structures.
+ Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality in all maintenance activities.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a team on the hangar floor.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience working on CL215, CL415, or CL515 aircraft is highly beneficial.
+ AME M1/M2 license is a strong asset.
+ Previous experience in heavy modification programs or major aircraft overhaul projects.
+ Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple aircraft as needed.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.

**Work Environment**
You will work on the hangar shop floor in a shared, cooperative environment alongside other aviation teams.

Each shift typically includes 5–10 people, fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Shifts run from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., providing structured hours and clear expectations.

The environment is hands-on and tool-intensive, focused on aircraft modification and maintenance, with access to standard hand tools, technical documentation, and hangar equipment suitable for heavy mechanical work on water bomber aircraft.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Breslau, ON.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Breslau,ON.
