**Job Title: Skilled Labourer**

**Job Description**

This role is for a skilled labourer supporting an industrial construction project in North Vancouver, BC.

You will work with the general contractor to perform a wide range of labour and minor carpentry tasks, operate construction machinery, and help maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform a variety of labour tasks on an industrial construction site, including material handling, site cleanup, and general support for trades.
+ Carry out minor carpentry work such as building small structures and temporary works as directed.
+ Move and organize construction materials efficiently to support ongoing site activities.
+ Build and assemble minor structures and components in accordance with site requirements and safety standards.
+ Operate machinery such as skid steer, forklift, and boom lift in a safe and controlled manner.
+ Follow all site safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of fall protection and aerial work platforms.
+ Communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift.
+ Use reliable transportation to arrive on site punctually and ready for work each day.
+ Cooperate with required background checks and adhere to all company and site policies.

**Essential Skills**

+ 5–10+ years of construction experience on commercial or industrial sites.
+ Proven ability to perform labour tasks and minor carpentry work on active construction projects.
+ Valid skid steer ticket with demonstrated experience operating skid steer equipment.
+ Valid Fall Protection (Fall Pro) ticket and practical experience working safely at heights.
+ Valid Aerial Work Platform (AWP) ticket for operating boom lifts and similar equipment.
+ Valid SDCB forklift certification and experience operating forklifts on construction sites.
+ Reliable transportation to and from the North Vancouver industrial site.
+ Strong communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate effectively with the site team.
+ Willingness to submit to a background check in accordance with site requirements.

+ Experience working for general contractors on large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
+ Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to site-specific safety protocols.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity.
+ Physical ability to perform manual labour tasks for extended periods, including lifting, carrying, and standing.
+ Flexibility to work overtime as required by project demands.

**Work Environment**

This position is based at an industrial construction site in North Vancouver, BC.

You work primarily on first shift, Monday to Friday, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with typical days running 8–10 hours and the potential for overtime depending on project needs.

The environment is an active industrial worksite with heavy equipment, construction materials, and ongoing trades activity, requiring consistent adherence to safety protocols and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

Work is performed outdoors and indoors in varying weather and site conditions, and you should be prepared for physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Vancouver, BC.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
