Student Dietary Aide – ValleyView Long-Term Care Facility (St. Thomas, ON)

Nutritional Management Services is seeking motivated Student Dietary Aides to join our team at ValleyView Long-Term Care Facility in St. Thomas, Ontario. This is a great opportunity for high school students interested in healthcare, nutrition, or hospitality to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist with meal preparation, portioning, and service to residents
- Set up, clear, and clean dining areas and meal carts
- Follow safe food-handling, infection control, and sanitation practices
- Interact with residents in a respectful, caring, and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with dietary team members

What We’re Looking For:

- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs




- Comfortable using a computer/tablet
- Good communication skills and proficiency in reading/writing English
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts

Conditions of Employment: As required in long-term care settings, successful applicants must provide:

- TB test results
- Safe Food Handler's Certification (can be obtained upon hire)
- Criminal Record Check if 18 or older
