Job Overview

Ideal Logistics is looking for experienced and reliable AZ Truck Drivers to join our team for regular cross-border transportation between Canada and the United States. In this role, you will be the vital link ensuring seamless transportation of goods across international borders, maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance every step of the way.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate company tractor-trailer equipment to transport freight between Toronto and U.S. destinations.
- Drive assigned routes, including Toronto to the Midwest U.S. and Toronto to California and back to Toronto.
- Complete approximately 1–2 trips per week from Toronto, depending on route and operational requirements.
- Average 3,000 miles per week.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Properly handle, secure, and transport freight to prevent damage or loss.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, hours of service, and any incidents or delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, border crossings, and other issues.
- Provide professional and courteous service when dealing with customers, shippers, and receivers.
- Comply with all applicable Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Safely navigate Canada–U.S. border crossings and follow required customs procedures.




- Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of the assigned truck and trailer.

Qualifications

- Minimum experience of 2 years in commercial driving, particularly with cross-border freight operations within North America.
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous commercial tractor-trailer driving experience required.
- U.S. cross-border driving experience is an asset.
- Valid passport and documentation required for Canada–U.S. cross-border travel.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and commercial vehicle regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Basic automotive/mechanical repair knowledge is preferred. Air Brake Endorsement is preferred.

Team/couple drivers are welcome to apply. Ideal Logistics accepts applications from two-driver teams, including couples, who are interested in running cross-border routes together. Both drivers must meet the required licensing, experience, driving record, and U.S. cross-border eligibility requirements.

Pay: From $7,200.00 per month
