Job Posting: Assistant Accounting Manager
Salary: $90,000

What You’ll Do to Excel
- Constantly Improve accounting procedures and workflows to increase accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Take full ownership of the company’s day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and accountability.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, adjusting entries, schedules, financial reporting, and supporting documentation.
- Review financial statements, commission reports, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, and key financial data before they are presented to management.
- Oversee bank, commission, carrier, advisor, and transaction reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to reduce accounting errors, prevent duplicate or incorrect payments, and protect company assets.
- Manage advisor commissions and compensation reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies with advisors, carriers, and partners.
- Lead budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, expense management, and financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Maintain high standards across QuickBooks Online,
accounting software, CRM systems, and industry platforms, ensuring financial data remains accurate and current.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, financial institutions, carriers, and other qualified partners when required.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve accounting SOPs, controls, reporting systems, and workflows as the company grows.
- Lead, train, review, and hold accounting team members accountable for deadlines, accuracy, productivity, and professional standards.
- Establish explicit KPIs for the accounting department and report results, outstanding issues, and recommended actions to senior management.
- Identify financial or operational risks early and bring management solutions—not simply problems.
- Ensure the accounting department can operate effectively without senior management having to follow up on routine accounting matters.

- Experience: 5 to 20 years of accounting experience(minimum of 3 local accounting experience), including supervisory or management responsibilities.
