Job Summary

A Florist designer supports the daily operations of a wholesale environment by assisting customers, stocking merchandise, processing orders, and maintaining inventory. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, moderate stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse setting.

Key Responsibilities

● Design and create floral arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces for daily orders and walk-in customers

● Assist wholesale customers with product selection, pricing, and custom order inquiries

● Receive, inspect, and process incoming floral shipments and supplies

● Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers and plants through proper handling, trimming, and hydration

● Prepare, label, and price floral products for sale

● Ensure floral displays, coolers, and workstations are organized, clean, and properly stocked

● Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the floral department (including sweeping, disposing of plant waste, and sanitizing work surfaces)

● Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or quality concerns to management

● Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures

● Support supervisors and managers with general floral department operation





Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

● High school diploma or equivalent preferred

● Previous retail, wholesale, warehouse, or customer service experience is an asset

● Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs

● Basic computer and POS system skills

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical & Working Conditions

● Standing and walking for long periods

● Handling and moving inventory

● Working in refrigeration-freezer temps.

Compensation & Benefits
