Experienced Field Technician
SCS Consulting Group is a consulting engineering firm providing services to the land development industry throughout the GTA and surrounding areas. Our services include the design and contract administration of municipal infrastructure for residential subdivisions, and institutional, commercial, and industrial site plans.

What you’ll be doing:
Your position will be Field Technician. Your duties will generally consist of daily site inspections and monitoring of construction projects assigned by SCS Consulting Group Ltd. This work will be undertaken under the guidance of a more senior SCS staff member.
The Field Technician is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:
- Inspection of construction activities;
- Program Management assistance for project planning, scheduling and estimating, engineering, design, construction bid preparation, evaluation and award recommendations, construction oversight, quality control, progress evaluation and payment approval recommendations;
- Construction Administration services; and
- Construction related QA/QC services.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Civil Engineering or Civil Technology Degree or Diploma;
- Minimum two (2)
years of experience in field inspection of land development and municipal infrastructure projects, including subdivision servicing, roadworks, grading, stormwater management, watermain and sanitary sewer construction, and related contract administration activities.
- Knowledge of contract administration services; and
- Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license.
