Triangle Steel is currently seeking a full-time Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Fitter to join our team.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans for both structural steel (columns, beams, trusses) and miscellaneous steel components (stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, bollards)
- Complete required fitting-related duties with a strong focus on fit, finish, and aesthetics for architectural and safety-related steel elements
- Ability to complete and document visual QC self-inspection of work according to required quality standards and customer specifications
- Grind, stamp, cut, and drill metal with precision appropriate to both structural and finish-grade applications
- Operate various types of equipment, including overhead cranes, grinders, welding machines, measuring/testing equipment, and cutting torches
- Perform other related duties as required





Requirements:

- Proven experience with miscellaneous steel fabrication, including stairs, handrails, guardrails, ladders, and platforms
- Structural steel and plate fitting experience
- At minimum, registered as an Apprentice Structural Steel and Plate Fitter
- A valid Driver’s License preferred
- Basic rigging course and/or certified overhead crane operator an asset
- WHMIS certified
- Fit for duty and able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Registered apprentice as a welder or journeyman welder certification with FCAW experience preferred

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- Miscellaneous steel fabrication: 3 years (required)
- Structural steel fitting: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Registration – Apprentice Structural Steel and Plate Fitter (required)
