A well-established seniors care home in Chilliwack is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing operation, maintenance, and safety of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preventative and reactive building maintenance
- Perform or arrange routine plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- Schedule and oversee contractors, grounds maintenance, and snow removal
- Maintain building security systems, emergency exits, and overall facility condition
- Track maintenance records, inventory, and supplies
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and cost awareness
- Respond to after-hours building emergencies as required
Qualifications & Experience (Assets):
- Building Operator’s B Certificate (or equivalent experience) is an asset
- Experience in hotel, hospital, commercial, or public buildings would be beneficial
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and fire alarm systems is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and prioritize work
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills
- Professional, respectful approach when working with residents, staff, and contractors
