Dalton Associates is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychologist/ Psychological Associate to join our team, providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed mental health services to individuals in remote First Nations communities across Northern Ontario. This is an independent contractor position.

You will travel to a First Nation community in Northern Ontario, typically accessible only by air, for periods of six (6) to seven (7) days at a time, ideally once a month. We collaborate with you, our team, and the community to schedule visits that accommodate everyone’s needs. For those interested, we also offer opportunities to work across multiple First Nation communities.

We provide competitive compensation and take care of trip coordination, including covering all costs related to travel and accommodations. Additionally, we offer a per diem to cover expenses such as food and other related necessities

Responsibilities:

- Provide culturally safe and attuned psychological assessment services to children, youth and/or adults.
- Prepare a written report containing assessment results, diagnostic considerations, and recommendations.
- Complete a feedback meeting with the client, family, and other stakeholders (e.g., school personnel, service navigators, etc.), as appropriate.
- Work closely with families, community support teams, and other team members.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Be registered as a Psychologist or Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) in autonomous practice.
- Authorized to work with children and adolescents (required), in addition to adults (preferred).




- Have two (2) years or more of experience administering and interpreting a variety of psychometric testing with children and youth (required), in addition to adults (preferred).
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Have excellent problem-solving, time-management, organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with and/or in First Nations communities is an asset but not required.

Pay: $1,500.00 per day
