Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Freelance / Part-Time Delivery Courier — an independent contractor role that puts you in the driver’s seat! Duties

- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages across designated routes
- Load and unload items, including up to 50 lbs, using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery of packages to customers’ specified locations while maintaining a professional attitude
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery times and address any questions or concerns promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any issues immediately
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during deliveries
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and route logs for accountability and tracking purposes

Skills

- Experience with moving heavy or bulky items safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during deliveries
- Excellent communication skills for clear, professional correspondence with customers and team members
- Warehouse experience beneficial for understanding inventory handling and logistics processes




- Commercial driving experience demonstrating safe driving habits and familiarity with local traffic regulations
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize routes, and adapt to changing schedules in a fast-paced environment

Driver Screening & Eligibility

As part of our onboarding and contractor verification process, selected applicants will be required to provide:

- Police/criminal record verification as required for courier and delivery work.
- Proof of a valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
- A copy of the current vehicle registration, showing that the vehicle is registered to the applicant/contractor or otherwise legally authorized for their use.
- Proof of valid vehicle insurance that meets applicable provincial requirements and permits the vehicle to be used for delivery/courier or business purposes, where required.
- The vehicle must be properly registered, insured, roadworthy and maintained throughout the period of the contractor engagement.
- Proof of current legal authorization to work in Canada, such as valid work authorization, permanent resident status, or other applicable status.
- Applicants must maintain valid work authorization, driver's licence, vehicle registration and required insurance for the duration of their engagement.
- Additional verification or documentation may be required before the contractor is approved to commence delivery services.

Only applicants who successfully complete the required verification and onboarding process will be eligible to receive delivery assignments.
