Overview
Here at Visionary Catering, we are seeking a friendly and preferably experienced Server/Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of our food and beverage offerings, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role can involve mixing drinks, serving customers, and ensuring all food safety and food handling standards are maintained. Previous restaurant experience is not mandatory but highly desirable. Must be able to commute to multiple different event locations across the city, and sometimes outside of Calgary.

The Server/Bartender will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience through efficient service, engaging interaction, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

- Partake in the set up/tear down of events
- May have to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly, qualified manner to ensure an enjoyable experience
- Handle cash transactions, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities, as well as handling the use of credit/debit machines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food & bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Restock food & bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service
- Follow all food safety, food handling,



and sanitation procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple guests promptly while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly and recognize intoxicated guests
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or hospitality roles is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old (or age applicable by local laws)
- Must have AGLC ProServe
- Must have a valid driver's license (preferred)
- Must be able to lift items up to 30lbs
