Overview
Canada Cartage System LP is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Dispatch Logistician to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning operational logistics, scheduling and dispatching personnel, monitoring shipments, maintaining records, and supporting the safe and efficient movement of freight in a fast-paced trucking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile orders and instructions received from customers
- Organize tasks to accomplish the work
- Oversee operational logistics of the organization
- Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization
- Maintain work records and logs
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- Keep track of shipments
- Maintain vehicle operator work records
Mandatory Requirements
- College/CEGEP
- 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in trucking / transportation operations
- Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Open for Night Shift
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must meet company safety requirements, including a criminal record check
